Please become a participant in the 2025 Parkway Nativity Festival! It is such
a beautiful and Christ-centered way to start the Christmas season. There are
several ways to join in:
Sign up online at: https://signup.com/go/LMeteob
Lend Nativities/Statues of Christ – We need your Nativities and statues
of Christ to make this event spiritual and beautiful. We would love to
have as many as possible lent from each ward. Please consider being
very generous in your lending.
Lend Christ Centered Artwork – We need your Christ-centered artwork
to add to the setting surrounding the nativities. We will have a limited
number of easels available for art that is 8x10 and smaller. If possible,
please bring your own display easel.
Play Live Music – There will be live background music playing during the
times the Nativity Festival is open. The music must be reverent, religious
Christmas music. Instrumental or vocal is fine, and solos, duets, small
groups and families are welcome.
Host – Sign up to be a host during the event.
Whether it’s your first time attending or your next scheduled visit, preparing to enter the house of the Lord can help make your experience more personal and meaningful.
President Russell M. Nelson recently shared: "Time in the temple will help you to think celestial and to catch a vision of who you really are, who you can become, and the kind of life you can have forever. Regular temple worship will enhance the way you see yourself and how you fit into God’s magnificent plan. I promise you that.
Here are a few ideas to help you prepare:
✔️Prepare spiritually by following Jesus Christ’s teachings and keeping the covenants you made with God.
✔️Study Church resources, such as scriptures and general conference talks. You can start with these talks from April’s general conference:
Rejoice in the Gift of Priesthood Keys President Russell M. Nelson
All Will Be Well Because of Temple Covenants President Henry B. Eyring
Temples, Houses of the Lord Dotting the Earth Elder Neil L. Andersen
✔️Use the Ordinances Ready feature on FamilySearch to find the names of ancestors ready to take to the temple now.
✔️Learn more about the purpose of temples and the covenants made inside in this temple tour with Elder D. Todd and Sister Katherine Christofferson.
